Hello everyone, and welcome to another season of CSC Sports!

First of all, I would like to thank our previous Athletics Director Kayle Paustian for doing an awesome job last year. Trying to fill his shoes for this coming year will be Gloria Lam, James Song and Jonathan Du.

Just a quick recap from the previous year, CSC was involved in numerous sporting activities. With Campus Recreation Intramurals, we put together teams for indoor soccer and volleyball. Our CSC Yellow Bellies volleyball team did extremely well winning the division, while our soccer team; let's just say had a lot of fun.

As for sporting events within the club, we had a great time at Young Gun's Paintball shooting one another, and of course we had our epic ski trip to Kicking Horse Ski Resort in Golden, B.C.

For this year we would like to expand on this, by participating in more intramurals, as well as putting together more sporting events for our club.

As for Campus Rec Intramurals, there are a number of deadlines approaching including (click here for a complete listing of all the campus recreaion intramurals):

Mixed Doubles Badminton Tournament
Registration Dates: October 13 - October 20
Activity Dates: October 24 - October 25

Men's Ball Hockey Leagues
Registration Dates: September 30 - October 6
Activity Dates: October 14 - March 13

In addition, for those badminton and squash players in the club, we will be setting up a ladder in which club members will have the opportunity to challenge each other to determine who the best racquet player in CSC is.

We ask that anyone who wishes to participate in any one of these programs, please e-mail us at jdu@ualberta.ca the activity as well as your Name, One Card ID #, E-mail address, and Phone # so we can sign up teams accordingly.
